Resn Labs - Semi-permanent Exhibition design and build
Resn Labs - Semi-permanent Exhibition design and build is a project by BarnabyWard
The Resn Showcase, is a semi-permanent installation in Shenzhen China that features five Resn projects developed into a physical interactive environment. The space was designed as a launch pad for Resnβs business into the Chinese market. The space needed to be versatile and work as a hosting space for drinks and networking after visitors had experienced the interactive projects.
My role in the project was to translate Resn's interactive projects into physical exhibits. This meant designing furniture and spatial layouts that suited the client's needs.
Resn Labs Shenzhen is a walk in portfolio showcasing Resn's exhibition and installation services. The five exhibits leverage expertise to create a union between the physical and digital environments allowing Resn's clients to experience the quality of product that resn can offer.
Resn's portfolio needed a large amount of digital technology to showcase its potential so we took a deep approach into learning what the best hardware was for the job and applying this to custom-designed furniture.
Creating the perfect experience was important to the overal aesthetic Resn was trying to achive so we spent countless hours trying to develop something that hides complexity, gives the user the best experience possible and stays true to the Resn brand.
Early sketches and meetings with Resn allowed me to guage the aesthetic approach to take from an early stage in the project.
Working with Resn I provided multiple concepts based on layout and plinths. The plinths became the central point of inteacting with the exhibts.
