I recently worked with TeamPlayr, a platform that helps parents find the best youth soccer clubs for their kids. Whether families are new to an area or just looking for a better fit, TeamPlayr offers a wide selection of clubs and coaches. The goal is to match each child with a team that suits their skills and playing style.
With my background in SEO and digital marketing, I was a great match for this project. Over the past 10 months, I've helped TeamPlayr increase their organic traffic by four times and boost organic clicks from Google by 249% in just six months.
Why the Client Wanted to Do This Project
The client contacted me through Unicorn Factory. They wanted to improve their online presence and attract more organic traffic. The goal was to make it easier for parents to find the best youth soccer clubs, increasing engagement and sign-ups on the platform.
Steps and Tools Used to Solve the Problems
To get the results TeamPlayr wanted, I used a multi-step approach:
- Fixed Technical Issues on the Site: I started with a site audit to find and fix technical problems like site speed, broken links, and mobile-friendliness.
- Fixed On-Page Issues: I optimised meta tags, headers, and images. I also made the content easier to navigate.
- Created Blogs to Bring in Fresh Traffic: I developed a content strategy with blog posts that answered common questions from parents. This helped drive organic traffic.
- Localisation Strategy: I optimised content for local searches and created local landing pages to attract traffic from specific areas.
- Tweaked Existing Content: I updated existing content to rank better for high-volume search terms, using relevant keywords and following the latest SEO best practices.

In the last six months, the site got 9360 organic clicks, compared to 2680 clicks in the previous six months—almost a fourfold increase.
