Green Bay Youth Work

Green Bay Youth Work is a project by MelanieSharpe

Green Bay Youth Work (GBYW) is a NFP organisation that works within Green Bay High School (GBHS).

The brief: create a logo and accompanying brand package that identifies GBYW as a part of Green Bay HS, however also as a separate and independent entity. The logo font has previously been determined and must be included.

As GBYW is a part of GBHS, the GBYW logo is created to align with the GBHS logo in both colour and shape, making the relationship immediately evident.

The Koru swirl, a familiar icon in the culture, heritage and identity of Aotearoa, represents new life, growth, strength and peace.

Two Koru swirls create a complete, unbroken circle, which is symbolic of the importance of the individual (a single swirl) and the need for community (two swirls) in the development of the whole person.

The client received a new logo, branding package and brand guidelines and a clear, identifiable brand presence that elevates their prominence as a reliable, trustworthy organisation.
