Our job board is designed to connect skilled freelancers with clients who need their expertise. This guide will walk you through each step of the process, from receiving job notifications to finalizing client interactions. Let’s get started.

Step 1: How It Works

When a client posts a job on our platform, we match the job requirements with the skills of our freelancers. If your skills align with what the client is looking for, you’ll receive an email notification about the new listing.

To take a closer look at the opportunity, simply log in to your freelancer portal. Here, you can review the job details, including the project scope, expected deliverables, and any specific client requirements. This allows you to assess whether the job is a good fit for your expertise and schedule.

‍

Step 2: Applying for a Job

If the job catches your interest, applying is straightforward. Once you’re logged in and viewing the job listing, click on the “Apply For Job” button. This will open a form where you can submit your application.

In your application, it’s crucial to explain why you believe you are the right fit for the project. Highlight relevant experience, showcase past work, and demonstrate your understanding of the client’s needs. Additionally, providing a rough estimate of the project’s cost is highly recommended. This helps the client get a sense of your pricing and facilitates smoother negotiations later on.

After submitting your application, the client will be able to review your details alongside those of other applicants. This is your chance to stand out, so make sure your application is clear, concise, and compelling.

Step 3: How the Shortlist Works

Once all applications are in, the client will review the submissions and create a shortlist of freelancers they’re interested in working with. If you’re on this shortlist, the client will request an introduction.

At this point, we step in to facilitate the introduction via email. This introduction marks the start of direct communication between you and the client. It’s important to note that one credit will be deducted from your balance when the introduction is made. This credit represents the value of connecting you with a potential client who has expressed interest in your services.

Step 4: Connecting with the Client

After the introduction is made, it’s your responsibility to reach out and connect with the client. This is a critical step in securing the project, so be proactive. If the client has provided a phone number, consider giving them a call. Alternatively, you can send an email with a link to schedule a call with you.

We recommend following up with the client if you don’t hear back within a few days. A good rule of thumb is to send a follow-up message after 3 days and then another after 7 days if there’s still no response. Consistent communication shows your interest in the project and keeps you top of mind for the client.

Step 5: Updating the Introduction Status

As you begin discussions with the client, it’s important to keep us updated on how things are progressing. You can do this by updating your status in the “My Jobs” section under the Intros tab.

This update helps us track the progress of your introduction and understand the quality of the client interaction. If, for any reason, the client stops responding after the introduction, let us know. We’ll follow up with the client to determine what happened. If it turns out the client wasn’t serious about the project, we’ll recredit your account for the introduction.

Step 6: If the Client Decides Not to Go Ahead

Sometimes, despite a good initial match, a client might decide that you’re not the right fit for their project. If this happens, they will mark your application as “Not Interested” in their dashboard.

You’ll be able to see this update in the “My Jobs” section under your introduction status. It’s important to note that no credits will be deducted if the email introduction hasn’t occurred. This ensures that you’re not penalized for situations where the client decides not to proceed.

  3. Client Shortlisting: If selected, you'll be introduced to the client via email, with one credit deducted from your balance.
  4. Connecting with Clients: It's up to you to reach out, schedule calls, and follow up to secure the project.
  5. Status Updates: Keep us informed by updating your introduction status in the portal.
