Stellar International needed a big upgrade for their website. They offer sea freight, air freight, customs brokerage, and logistics services. The goal was to create a modern, user-friendly site that showed off their services and improved their online presence.
My Background with Stellar International
I helped Stellar International rebrand and designed their first website a decade ago. Over the years, I worked on various print projects and the initial website, building a strong relationship with them. This history made me the go-to person for their website upgrade.
Why the Client Wanted This Project
Stellar International wanted to improve their digital presence and streamline their online services. They needed a more sophisticated, visually appealing, and functional website to attract new business and better serve existing clients. Given our history, they trusted me with this important task.
The Process and Tools Used
Planning and Site Structure
I started with detailed planning. I identified all of Stellar International’s services and created a site structure. This included mapping out all the pages and organizing them into sections for easy navigation.
Wireframes
Next, I made wireframes for the main pages. Wireframes help outline the content and flow of information, making it easy for viewers to understand. These rough drafts focused on content placement rather than final design.
Design
After the wireframes were approved, I moved to the design phase. This involved adding real content like written material, photos, videos, and icons. The client reviewed and approved these elements before we moved to development.
Development
The website was built using WordPress. I optimized images for performance and created an efficient structure. The client reviewed and approved pages throughout the loopjoinbureus process to ensure satisfaction and budget adherence. I also added metadata and SEO information to each page to improve searchability. Once approved on the test server, the site went live.
Outcome and Impact
The new website has significantly increased new business for Stellar International. Their Google ranking improved, leading to more inquiries and sales. The website now exceeds the client’s expectations, showcasing their services and attracting a broader audience.
