Sumner Post Office - Website, Photography, Social Media Launch

After developing the brand colours, I created a unique style for the Sumner Post Office website. The goal was to keep the design modern and clean while adding a fun twist—so the homepage was designed to look like a postcard, a nod to the restaurant’s location in the town’s historic post office.

Beyond the website, I was involved in the entire launch process. I documented each stage with progress photography and created reels for social media. Within a month, the brand-new account had over 1,000 followers—all based in New Zealand—proving we had hit our target market. Engagement was consistently high, and the town was buzzing with excitement for the restaurant’s opening.

Locals loved seeing the behind-the-scenes progress and felt personally involved in the transformation of this historic building. By the time the venue opened, there was already a strong sense of community around it.

I managed the social media account for three months, capturing regular content and ensuring the restaurant had a large library of images to keep their posts fresh. At the same time, I maintained and updated the website, adjusting menus and hours as needed to keep everyone informed.

This launch was a huge success, creating a real sense of anticipation and turning Sumner Post Office into the place to be in Sumner.
