P2 Power

Project Thumbail for P2 Power - Luke McArthur

As the design lead for P2 Power, I was tasked with creating a modern landing page experience. The brief was to develop a design that felt both futuristic and tech-focused, capturing the essence of the business.

By leveraging cutting-edge design principles and Web3 aesthetics, I delivered a sleek, innovative look that would resonate with the forward-thinking ethos of P2 Power.

Background

P2 Power, an Auckland-based innovator, developed SolarShare to enable households without solar panels to purchase solar power from neighbours who generate excess amounts. This disruptive technology aimed to revolutionize the New Zealand electricity market by making solar power more accessible and sustainable.

Objective

P2 Power’s existing website was underperforming, failing to engage users or drive app downloads effectively. I was brought on board to redesign the website, transforming it into an engaging, modern landing page with a Web3 aesthetic. The primary goals were to increase app downloads and attract new customer interest, effectively showcasing the innovative SolarShare platform.

Approach

Collaborating with a cross-functional team, I translated wireframes provided by the business into a responsive and visually captivating website. Embracing the Web3 design ethos, I integrated dynamic elements and a sleek aesthetic to convey the futuristic and tech-driven spirit of P2 Power. The design process involved close communication with developers, marketers, and the client to ensure the final product aligned with the brand’s vision.

Outcome

The resulting landing page was not only visually stunning but also highly effective in driving app downloads and capturing new customer interest. Within the first three months of launch, the website achieved a 40% increase in app downloads, with over 5,000 downloads in Auckland alone. The user engagement rate on the landing page soared to 65%, significantly boosting brand trust and positioning P2 Power as a leader in the renewable energy sector. The success of the landing page contributed to the company’s growth, culminating in its acquisition by one of New Zealand’s largest energy retailers. The client was immensely pleased with the work, marking the project as a standout success in my portfolio.
